Climate Change Committee Roundtable
As worldwide debate over climate change intensifies, the pressure is on for U.S. industry to take positive action to reduce its carbon footprint. One of the challenges for industry professionals is keeping abreast of current and upcoming climate change legislation, programs and carbon markets. In response to this challenge, CES has formed our Climate Change Committee. These meetings will provide participants an opportunity to meet with colleagues and discuss emerging climate change policy and its impact and implications for business and industry. Topic: Business Regulatory Update Join us for a discussion of the status of state and federal government regulations and how pending legislation may affect your firm. This session will help you understand the various protocols and geographic scope of voluntary emissions reporting programs and formal reporting requirements for GHG emissions inventories; determine where your organization is in the process and identify the next steps that will aid in achieving your sustainability goals; understand what is required of entities now and what may be coming next. Facilitator: Dave Church, Technical Director - Climate Change Services; Vice President, Bureau Veritas Program Sponsored By: Hess Corporation Registration: 7:30 AM (a light continental breakfast will be served) Program: 8:00 – 9:00 AM Free for CES members; $10 for nonmembers.
