Ren’s core responsibilities include leading a 60-member team of airport employees, strategic planning, community engagement, and capital improvement programs to ensure the Airport remains a vital asset that increases economic activity and pride to Northeast Ohio. He has over 30 years of progressive experience in the aviation and transportation engineering sectors, specializing in program management, air service retention and expansion efforts, business development initiatives, job creation, and major infrastructure projects. Ren received his MS in Transportation Planning & Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of NYU and BS in Civil Engineering from RPI. He is also an Accredited Airport Executive, a licensed engineer in Ohio, and serves on multiple area chambers, tourism bureaus, and executive leadership teams to further establish the importance of CAK for community businesses and stakeholders. Ren is a proud graduate of Leadership Akron’s Class 40, recognized as part of Crain’s Cleveland Business Power 150, 2023 Notable Latino Leaders, and Ohio 500 for 2023-2024.
